Acetyl Hexapeptide-3

Acetyl Hexapeptide-3, also called Argireline, is a small part of the botulinum toxin (commonly used for “botox” procedures. Acetyl hexapeptide-3 can mimic the effects of botulinum toxin which can limit the transmission of nerve impulses to the skin, which results in less facial muscle contraction and a decrease in wrinkles and frown lines. In addition to its effects on wrinkles, Acetyl Hexapeptide- 3 has been shown to increase collagen production leading to increased skin firmness and a more youthful appearance.

ATPv™️

ATPv™️ is a novel, proprietary liposomal ATP delivery system formulated to bring ATP deep into the layers of the skin. A liposome or lipid vesicle is similar to an incredibly small (on the nanoscale) soap bubble. Our novel technology encapsulates ATP (or adenosine-5’-triphosphate) in these small lipid vesicles. We have designed this technology with specific lipids that want to fuse with cells thus allowing the ATP stored inside of the lipid vesicle to enter cells where it can be used as an energy source for several important cell functions. The lipid vesicles also function as a means of protection to the ATP molecule, preventing degradation by enzymes in the skin. Additionally, the lipid vesicles are designed to help transport the ATP deep into the skin. ATP is an incredibly important molecule used for a myriad of functions in the body. ATP is critical for the production of proteins (such as collagen and elastin) and is also important for production of cell lipids (such as ceramides and phospholipids). ATP is used by skin cells to maintain and regulate important ions, such as sodium and potassium, which are key ions used for maintaining water levels in cells. Healthy skin is constantly turning over cells to replace old cells, this process of making new cells requires large quantities of ATP. By providing ATP directly to the skin, we are delivering this critical molecule directly to produce more youthful, healthy skin.

Water

Water is essential for every cellular activity in the human body. Water is critical for the function of the outer layer of the skin, called the stratum corneum (SC). Loss of water from the skin can disrupt cellular homeostasis resulting in issues with thermoregulation, transport of ions within the cell (such as sodium and potassium), cell functionality, and can potentially lead to cell death. Dehydration can lead to decreased skin elasticity, and dry, wrinkled skin. As we age, we are more susceptible to dehydration, thus water is critical for maintaining skin functionality and vitality.
